AIBA/IBIZ (Austin Independent Business Alliance): What started out as a simple logo bug project, evolved into a billboard, stickers, and an Austin Chronicle ad. Plus they used multiple design concepts. I guess you can never say LOCAL is LOVE often enough. After the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown and all our economic woes, getting back to shopping local is crucial. Top are the four chosen logo bugs, and below (left) is the Chronicle Ad, and (right) the Austin billboard. Shop LOCAL, y’all!
AIBA/IBIZ (Austin Independent Business Alliance): My saving grace during the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown was AIBA. Two of the most wonderful ladies I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with (Dixie Patrick and Seed Terranova). I worked with them on the layout of the Spring and Fall 2020 Indie Austin Guides.
Austin Independent Business Alliance is an organization of independent, locally owned firms in Austin, Texas, and is composed of over 300 member businesses. It was started in 2002 by several local businesses and citizens as a way to help independent businesses compete successfully against corporate chains.
AIBA/IBIZ (Austin Independent Business Alliance): Had the treat working with Seed Terranova on this project during the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown. Your local businesses count on you for their very survival. Please SHOP LOCAL!

The Diana Foundation 65th Anniversary Coffee Table Book: I had the absolute pleasure of bringing the rich history of The Diana Foundation, the oldest continuously active gay organization in the United States, to life. The book, “The Diana Foundation: 65 Years of History,” chronicles a full 65-year history of the organization. And what a fabulously illustrative history it is! I swear, I just smiled the entire time while I designed this book. The images were so fun-filled, happy, and gloriously gay.
The entire book was 146 pages printed on a silk-coated sheet in full radiant color. The cover featured a blind gloss emboss (shiny pattern) along with a 3D relief of the Diana emblem. We used gold ink accents on the interior pages, with elegant rainbow Deco patterned end pages.
The Austin Police Association Everyday Heroes Awards: Invitation and Event program with an Austin live music theme.
Aquila Commercial Brochures: High-end brochures for commercial real estate around Austin. We created a format which could be used as a template. With the staggered tabbed sheets, aqueous coating, and spot varnish, this brochure series honored with PIA MidAmerica’s Graphic Excellence Awards Competition: Best of Division, Best of Category, Best of Austin, and Best of Show.

Texans Care For Children (Statewide, non-profit, non-partisan, multi-issue children's policy organization): Not technically an annual report, but rather an interesting format and unique function. TCFC wanted something easy to hand out to Texas legislators on a variety of topics affecting Texas children. We created an icon guide for each topic focus (health, protection, early opportunities, youth success, mental well-being, and resources). After an introduction, sixty pages (or thirty 2-sided sheets) would highlight specific points relevant to a specific policy issue. Those sheets were perforated to be torn out from the booklet to hand out to legislators, as needed. The booklet was also printed in 2-color so that each page could also be xeroxed if multiple copies were needed.
SOL: A Sustainable Community: Eco-friendly housing development for a sustainable community. Each SOL home can generate as much energy as they use. Plus community gardens, work areas, and other sustainable living features to embrace community. Their grand opening happened to coincide with the East Austin Studio Tour. Worked on this project with my partners at Tribe Creative Agency.
The campaign included posters, postcards, newspaper advertisements, and email blasts.
